I have no idea what Warhammer is but they have some of the dumbest looking spacecraft ever conceived.

And that's why you'll never understand why they're shaped that way.

Its a universe filled with war. Humanity is in a dark age in the 41st millennium after 10,000 years of constant war. Technology is stagnant, battleships are relics of a forgotten age, relics of an era where manufacturing methods were understood, but now, all they can merely do is figure out the bare minimum of how the ship operates.

In order to travel FTL, the ships must enter the warp, a parallel dimension where madness, daemons, and terrors lurk. They do this by the method of navigators, blind and mute psychically gifted people who can see the light of the astronomicon, a massive virtual lighthouse situated on earth, powered by the corpse of the God-Emperor and the lives of 1000 psychically gifted people every day.

The ship is protected from the warp by a geller field. If it fails, the warp would have its way with the ship, tear it apart, send it back a million years in time, slowly liquify every inhabitant. The Ship itself is a projection of the God-emperors will, and its form as a massive flying cathedral a way to spread the imperial creed throughout the galaxy.

It doesn't look like that because of form necessarily, it looks like that because it HAS to, or it could suffer a terrible fate when traveling FTL.

Total and utter dogpoop.

Not a SINGLE Wingcommander ship that I was able to find.

Poop I tell you. Poop.

Fail's on your end. Check the bottom-right corner of the one I posted.

I am well versed in the universe, and a key point is the lack of space vessels.

I'm still not sure what point you're making.
