Booing is normal. I don't remember a speech like this where the other side didn't boo at some point.

The knee-jerk apologies are transparent and frustrating partisanship.

Yeah, damn those republicans for telling a fellow republican calling the president a liar during a joint session was out of line.

you get theres a mite bit o' difference between booing and yelling You're A Liar?

Repeating the same line won't make your argument true. You still haven't provided a single bit of evidence to the contrary.

I keep providing you the CRS link, you just refuse to read it.

Here it is again for like the 6th time.
http://opencrs.com/document/R40773/

We've read it. Maybe you should quote the parts from it that you think show that Obama's plan will cover illegal immigrants. I already have a good idea of what you're going to quote, and it's going to make you look like a moron.

Ok, then explain how illegal aliens are restricted from participating (covered) by the exchange or public option?

"H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens participating in the Exchange?whether the noncitizens are legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently."

Yeap, and now you look like a moron. (again)

Illegal immigrants have always been able to buy health insurance in America. (quite a few already have it) Illegal immigrants buying health insurance at full premium prices is nothing but a good thing, regardless of how you stand on illegal immigration. What Obama is talking about is that his plan provides zero tax dollars to illegal immigrants, supporting them in no way whatsoever.

You're so crazed by ODS that you can't even recognize something that helps you, and you're so intent on grasping at whatever straws you have left that you've decided that illegal immigrants paying full, unsubsidized premiums (a massive expense) into our system is a sign of Obama's health care plan 'covering' them. It covers them as much as Blue Cross does.

I'm going to predict that ryan either

a) pretends to condemn him

or

b) not show up

either way, you know most republicans probably think it, if not outright say it.

Check the above above... fusetalk is a steaming pile of timewarping shit.

Public option is for all practical purposes dead, just about everyone has conceded that ain't happening. On the other note, there isn't and shouldn't be anything to stop them from getting insurance out of pocket. Same way illegals can get their own private insurance right now.

The key argument here is illegals getting healthcare from us (free/subsidized), which won't be happening.

Currently there is nothing preventing that from happening as they can participate in the exchange/public option. I know illegals wont' be getting credits, that's clear. Until the bills/legislation make it clear that they WILL NOT BE COVERED OR INCLUDED in funding done by tax payers (exchange and/or public option) then obama lies.

It's real simple, just put some verbage in there to make it so. Why does obama and congress keep dancing around it?

One more time, let it sink in, k?

False. A new report finds the bill could require illegal immigrants to buy coverage, but it clearly restricts subsidies to U.S. citizens and legal residents.

http://tinyurl.com/pumvjo

WHAT IS PREVENTING ILLEGALS FROM PARTICIPATING IN EXCHANGE OR PUBLIC OPTION? What tax payer money is being used to fund or administer these programs?

Nothing. Nothing prevents our money from being used to assist illegals get access to government programs.

So let me get this straight, you're angry because the bill is going to force illegals to buy insurance while simultaneously preventing them from receiving any subsidies for said insurance? WTF is wrong with that? Do you even know what you're angry about anymore?

That's the conclusion of the Congressional Research Service, which issued a report on the topic. According to the CRS, noncitizens who can be considered "resident aliens" under U.S. tax law would have to buy insurance ? and unlike immigration laws, the tax code doesn't distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants.

"Thus, legal permanent residents, and noncitizens and unauthorized aliens who qualify as resident aliens ? would be required under H.R. 3200 to have health insurance," the new report states.

Forcing illegals to buy insurance while not subsidizing them in any way or any form is a GOOD thing.

Which reminds me... i'm going to quote my old sig quote from Arkaign (although i probably disagree with him politically, he's pretty much the ONLY conservative here that deserves any respect):

I'm a conservative, but find this kind of behavior absolutely reprehensible. I recently went to a backyard cookout with a few neighbors (this is an almost 100% 'Republican' area), and was shocked at: A) How ----ing idiotic most of them were and B) How often I heard people talking about assassinating the POTUS and other 'liberals/commies'

the right is full of dog shit

I'm not talking about that at all. You're diverting the issue.

Illegal aliens will have access to insurance exchange and public option, our money is being used for those programs, thus our money is being used to assist illegals get public options.

I didn't say they'd get free insurance because it's not fully known if they will or will not. Nobody can guarantee that because of their income they won't get free or reduced cost public option or from the exchange. It doesn't have to be done by credit because that would be direct and we'd have proof of our tax money going directly, instead of indirerctly, to illegals. I have no problem with illegal aliens purchasing their own insurance, although I do have a problem with the entire illegal part.

Why won't congress simply write in the bills that they can't/won't? Repubs have pushed for such verbage and it's been denied. From that fact alone how can you not at least have suspicion? What harm could there be from making the bill more clear on this very important issue?

The harm? They'd lose the illegal alien vote.

No they won't. You're lying. Do you know how to read, Spidey? I'm asking, because it clearly seems like you don't. I've posted this 3x now. 3 MF'ing times. Read it and get it straight already.

Read slowly now Spidey: CLEARLY. RESTRICTS. SUBSIDIES. TO US CITIZENS AND LEGAL RESIDENTS.

Buying coverage means the person doing the buying is the one paying for the coverage. Your logic is beyond idiotic.

The bill also doesn't specifically require a patient to be human to get health coverage. This is obviously a nod to the Martian delegation. Why not just state you have to be an earth type human to be covered? It'd just take one sentence!

But it does NOT restrict access to the exchange or public option. That is fact, already been proven.

You're twisting the point. Subsidies would imply credits of some sort to the individual. What's to prevent an illegal alien showing they're at or below poverty level and getting reduced rate or free exchange insurance plans or public option? What's to prevent them from participating in the exchange or public option?

That's cute how you compare these two situations when Novak basically commited treason and deserved pretty much every awful thing to happen to him.

/facepalm

Do you understand how insurance works? If you did, you wouldn't be saying that if they are fully paying members of an insurance company they are 'using our money to assist illegals'.

You simply don't understand the basic premise of how insurance works, once you go learn about that you will see why if illegal immigrants DID choose to participate in these, it would be nothing but a good thing for us as illegal immigrants will certainly be net contributors to the system due to their demographics. Translation: WE will be taking THEIR money.

I was offended at the whole stone faced, sit on your hands GOP politicians there. With a very few notable exceptions (McCain comes to mine) they all looked like your disapproving uncle. One of the clowns even displayed a hand written sign ("What Bill?) during the speech-classy.

I don't understand why Obama makes such a effort to accomodate that group, they are proud to be the party of NO and are hellbent on causing ANY health care reform bill to fail-for political reasons. Time for the Dems in Congress to do what they were elected to do and pass a bill on their own. Except for the rare outlier, the GOP will work as hard as they can to gridlock Congress and defeat any bill.

Man a not insignificant part of me wants to be a republican congressman.

1. You have to do absolutely nothing constructive or creative.
2. You don't have to read anything job related.
3. People will pay you to tell you your opinion and do your job for you.
4. No matter how you screw up a sizable percentage of the population will uphold you.
5. Prestige.

Well...as you can see...we have an extreme partisan here who happens to think Obama is just as bad as you think Novak was, and deserves a bullet. You and our friend mstersmith seem to have a lot in common....much more, I'm sure, than you'll ever admit.
