Man, stay away from tattoos. Yes, they make look cool... for a while, while you're young (although I think they spoil the view), but think about that man, you won't be able to wipe the thing off when you wish!!! You'll have the darned picture burned in your skin to your very death! Don't you have any other better things to do other than that? Stay away from that tattoo crap, you'll thank me for this piece of a good advice. You won't be young forever. And tattoos will look kinda stupid (IMHO) on an older person, but you won't be able to wipe them off. Just my 2 cents.
I have nothing againts tattoos (sp?) but I get sick of all these punk kids who hit the weight room for 6 months and then get the frickin' barb wire tattoo or rope tattoo around their bicep b/c they think they are huge now and want to show off. I also don't really like the people who have like 75% or more of their body covered in colored tattoos. I can appreciate the art of the tattoo though if it means something to you and is done classy. I might get one soon (I'm 25...actually 26 in 3 days) but it would have to be meaningful and not too obvious or too hidden, like maybe a upper arm/deltoid thing. I really like the Metallica 4-M ninja star thing with the black outline and red filling or vice versa, but don't steal that idea from me. 
most tattoo shops will give you free touch-ups for a certain amount of time, most of the ones here in utah will give it for life.
as for cheapbidder01's comment. i don't have one yet but my gf does, and she is hardly a slut and is extremely smart. as you can see, there are a lot of ATOTers that do have them, so keep your broad generalizations to yourself, or you're not going to have a very good time here.

i agree that tattoos look kinda stupid on old people, but im just planning on getting it on my thigh, not really visible by everyone anyways. im not looking to get something big and flashy to "look cool" and besides, i figure by the time im old there will be easier/cheaper ways to get tattoos remove if i ever want to

I got mine done in Studio City. Great artists, clean place, very professional, and reasonable prices. It's called Studio City Tattoo and it's on Ventura Blvd. Might be a drive if you live in Newport.
