Some sort of new POP-UP Technology?

Wtf man, for the last few days ive been surfin around the web and all of a sudden Ill get a funked out pop-up. And it isnt even porn sites! Like theres one I see a lot for a cell phone that pops up in the very bottom right of IE and just peeps up and goes down, peeks up and goes down. And theres some that arent even windows now, they just develop over the current window...

WTF?

lol wtf man...that suxorz...I hope it isnt a virus, I need a good format anyways I think..

Im afraid to stress my hard drive tho cuz its a 75gxp 😀

<< These are examples of abuse of IE's "enhanced" DHTML support, among other things. The solution is simple: DON'T USE IE.

Mozilla
Opera
Konqueror

I hope this has been a helpful post. 🙂

Haven't used mozilla. Opera is slow. Konqueror had problems with certain web pages when I used it (esp. w/secure logins to certain pages).

I use Mozilla, which works for 98% of everything (and I can just launch IE for anything else), and has a neat little option in preferences to prevent scripting from opening unrequested windows. It works great....

Yeah right man, fuggen turnin the comp on stresses the GXP's too much 😕

So is it true that ALL of IBMs GXPs are supposedly rated at 8hrs a day max? I know thats the case with their newest one, and thats rediculous...
