Assholes are assholes, they don't have to be smokers to be as asshole.
Given these are guests and not employees they may not even know about that rule, but let's assume anyways, that's more fun.
I quit smoking ~3 months ago, that is all.
Luckly, the idiot that smokes will only be here for one more day. The first day he was here, he told me he was a smoker, and said "But don't worry, I'll smoke outside."
Yeah, right...
Ahh missed that, well the guy is just an asshole then. When he said he would smoke outside, I told him there "That's good, the owners wouldn't be happy if you smoked in the condo"
What is strange is that in the 60's and 70's it seems like smoking was widely accepted, people smoked at their jobs, in restaurants, etc..
I wonder what changed in the smell of smoke that people hate it so much now? Is it just the knowledge that it causes cancer that makes it so unwanted now? I don't like having direct smoke blown into my face, but I can tolerate the smell to a certain extent. People these days act like it is the worst smell in the world, and they can't be in a room that someone has smoked in in the past 24 hours.
And, no I'm not a smoker, but I grew up in a smoking family, so maybe I'm just used to the smell.
Have you seen some of the office environments from that time period? When people used to smoke inside?
I smoke but its either outside or directly in front of the window fan exhausting. What bothers me is that I go out of my way to smoke in public but haters will actually cross the street/follow me to bitch or give a dirty look. Leave me the fuck alone because the fumes coming out of your suv is more obnoxious than my lone cigarette. the nasty shit you cook in your kitchen stinks up a 3 block radius. You like to purchase a lot of shit and pollute way more (globally) than several lifetimes worth of my cigarette butts would do.
Intolerance. Soon we'll all be living in special interests only HOA's where every single thing we do is dictated and regulated.
As long as you throw your butts in the trash, and don't smoke in my home. I support your right to smoke wherever.
Whats not fun is living near a bunch of smokers where every rock garden and child's playground becomes their ashtray and butt repository.
