This is so cheap, it is like a price error. Nobody has single 2G DDR-800 sticks, without any rebates, for anything near $20.

14 1-gig sticks here already, enough to fill my four ddr2 mobos, and 5 extra gigs of HP-Micron in transit. Must resist the urge to splurge.

Considering my HP ram was cancelled from TheNerds.....hmmmm!

Must resist....must resist....must resist....

(Actually need video card and money for new 45nm processor. 5900XT card died two days ago and I was going to use it in a swap to free up 7600GT for new 45nm Intel build. Now need new card. All this money.....all this spending!)

This should sell out quickly, before I can talk myself into it. Not like the HP deal with multiple dealers and thousands of sticks to be sold.

Are you sure this is a single 2gb module instead of a 2gb set?

If it's the former, I'm in for 4!

Edit: In for 4, thanks OP!

LOL. I usually do the same thing. If I buy it, I'll have buyers remorse for buying it. If I miss it, I'll have buyers remorse for missing it. :p

This would work nicely for a new rig should I decided to use the Vista 64 Ultimate that I should be getting free in a few months from a deal here in Hot Deals.

Damnit, I'm so ashamed. I gave in!

(Shipped to work via UPS commercial and save a few bucks on shipping. $6.00 vs $7.98 for residential)! :)

Hawt! in for 8GB of 1.8V RAM

Nevermind, just saw the +0.1. So it's 1.9V. Still not too bad considering the OCZ stuff require 2.1V to run

Buffalo's website shows 1.8V.

In any case, I ordered two sticks - will post results as far as the voltage when they arrive (assuming Directron honors that pricing).

Thanks OP !

I keep talking myself out of it. Hopefully it sells out fast so I don't get into trouble with the wife.

Btw, how's Buffalo service? I know they make some pretty sweet D9 FireStix, but I've never used their RAM or had any experience with their tech/customer support personally. Not that I'm expecting any trouble from 1.8V RAM, but you never know.

I'm running firestix now. Never had an issue but we'll see how that lasts if I need to contact support.

In for 2- total overkill for the purposes at hand, my elderly Mom's Dell, but it's the same price as 1 gig sticks of any other brand name memory...

Heh, I just took a closer look at the image... "Japan's #1 Module Manufacturer". And to think, all these years, I mistook Buffalo Technology for a NY based company . Anyways, I just remembered that we actually do use a fair number of Buffalo TeraStations at work. No issues to speak of, so I have no idea how their CS is, and if they speak English.

These DDR2 prices; I can't stand it ! I'm in for 2 sticks even though I'm not even planning to build a rig that could use them till 7-8 months from now. By then the ram will probably be free:p

Well, it's 2GB vs 1GB for the HP, so if you wanted 8GB, this would be better.

Also, it's DDR2-800 vs DDR2-667 of the HP memory.

Finally, there is no rebates involved. However, it is more expensive per GB than the HP ram.

I just hope it's not a price mistake as the 1GB buffalo module is the same price on Directron, damnit! :(
