Some Questions On HDs/EIDE...

I've got a CDRW, and three hard drives. Two 80 gigs, and a 120 gig. I'd like to add another hard drive, and a DVD-RW..

My motherboard supports up to eight EIDE devices. But the the powersource (400w) only has for um, things to plug into the devices. Do I have any real options? It's rather annoying..

They make splitters to turn one power lead into two for a buck or two, if that's what you're asking. HTH 🙂

Here are some splitters from SVC. I've never had a problem with them and they have great prices.

Erm... thanks... but it says it can connect two fans, or one fan an one HD... Would I be able to connect to HDs?

ya dude, all it does is 'Y' a molex. Like if you plugged in a surge protector to your power outlet, you now have like 6 of the same thing you had on the wall.

You can buy splitters anywhere. Fry's, bestbuy, compusa, radioshack, ...et cetera. Just pick some up and you'll be ready to go.

If you're getting a DVDRW then ditch the CDRW.
