Some quesions about 4400+

Well I joined the club of dual cores 😀 and I have some questions to make

I know some of them are answered but plz help me out if you can

1. Except the AMD driver for dual core what else should I have in mind to download?
2. Should I see something like 2 cores under task manager or not?
3. Something fishy is goind on with my system since most of the times it cannot post. I suspect my ram (Kingston DDR400 value) which I've heard of some incompatibilities with my DFI Lanparty SLI-DR. Is this a fact?

Also plz if you have in mind of something that can help me out feel free to mention it.

Thanks in advance

Yes it's recognized as multiprocessor and as 4400+ in bios.

Can someone help me out with the question about the ram?

bump?

Seems like nothin is going good today though ...

My 7800gtx (msi) presented some artifacts even @ defaults. I think it has to do with temps and not voltage. At idle is around 58-61 but when I ran a game or 3dmark2k5 I get a score of 4500!! and gpu is noticeably throttling.
I have an ANtec 480w so this can't be the issue... Maybe it's being overheated by my xp90c which is my cpu cooler. Any ideas? Do you think that it is defective?

1. Download the latest nVidia drivers (if you have an nVidia card) because they have new support for dual-core systems.
2. You will see two separate usage graphs under the "Performance" tab in the Task Manager.
3. I hear Value RAM is usually not a good idea with DFI motherboards. People have reported a lot of problems with Corsair ValueSelect as well. I don't have a DFI board, so I can't give you my personal opinion.

// If you're thinking about getting an X2, only get the 3800+ or 4400+, depending on which one you can afford. Those are the only two really worth getting, in my opinon.

umm, he already has a 4400+. thats why hes posting this. also, he has kingston ram not corsair.

anyway, put a thermometer in your case and see how hot it is there. make sure your video card fan works.

Heh, sorry didn't see that. 🙂

As far as Kingston vs. Corsair, I was just pointing out that both are Value RAMs. Maybe DFI just has an issue with that, de facto.

1. Yeah I have 6.66 instaled too. No problem whatsoever
2. Ok I saw them. Maybe I didn't see them b4 who knows?
3. Yeah I confirmed that last night. My system is up now and running ok, but any time can stop posting and I'll have to reset CMOS again to post 🙁

Temps seem normal, I have gatewatch panel installed , and today I have no problem whatsoever. Scores are normal in benchmarks for the card too. Still worries me though why yesterday I had artifacts...

Anyway if someone has something else to recommend I would like to hear it.

Thanks
