And this is why you fail.

If you honestly thought I was serious when the title even talks about Quebec I guess I won't even bother responding anymore since you fail to understand a simple joke and do not understand it.

Taking the time to explain it to you would take to much of my energy so continue to think I was serious for I no longer care about your response.

Enjoy.

Maybe if there was an actual valid joke to get, then it would be worthy of chuckle. If you have to explain a joke, then its fail. You fail at sarcasm 101.

Quebec City Quebeckers will largely refuse to speak English and treat you like a dick for trying. Good luck.

Untrue. Tourism is a major part of Quebec City's economy and they will speak English in most places. Also Quebec City is a federalist stronghold. I should know, I'm from there.

They will only play against you if you take off your white gloves and smack em over the face with it.

I've been there and I'm speaking from my experience.

I started playing Call of Duty recently. I'm horrible at it, so I spend lots of time looking at people's names while I wait for the round to end. I notice that there are a *ton* of people with QC in their name. I assume this means Quebec.

Are they really that proud? Are they like Texas or California? I know that they have a faction that wants to break away and form its own country... I don't know, it just seems odd that there would be so many people who put QC on their name.

Quebecers are pretty proud... I've been to Quebec City and Montreal... both AMAZING party destinations... headed back to Montreal at the end of March for a Habs / Devils game that hopefully has playoff implications :)

no, they want to be separate, cept now that they realize the rest of canada has oil, they'll keep suckin on that teat while spitting in your face.
Ignorant Quebecers are the ones that wanted to separate because they aren't intelligent enough to realizes that their extremist left wing leaders use them to grab power.

Pierre Trudeau (prime minister) was a Quebecer that put the hammer down because the FLQ killed 8 people including kidnapped British Trade Consul James Cross, Quebec Labour Minister Pierre Laporte was also kidnapped and killed, as well as bombed the Montreal Stock Exchange. And,the FLQ goal was to over throw the government and liberate Quebec.

Parti Quebecois emerged in the aftermath of the FLQ, and several FLQ leaders (terrorists) joined the PQ party such as Pierre Vallieres that pushed for Quecbec independent (amazing enough formers FLQ leaders weren't facing sentencing that most if not all other people would have if they were terrorists).

The reason that BC & AB wanted to separate from Canada is that we will leave Canada as a nation if the government allowed a bunch of yahoo Quebecers dictate how we live.

Problem as I see it from an outside perspective is that Quebec wants to have it both ways. The whole deal with Bill 101 and the language police is antithetical to free speech especially given their demands that the rest of the country display both languages equally. It is a situation guaranteed to cause resentment of Quebec in rest of Canada while driving away otherwise productive citizens. There is a reason why "going down the 401" was a common phrase in the 1980's as well as why Toronto has eclipsed Montreal.
Agree whole heartedly.

Quebec referendum in 1980 drove many businesses away from Quebec, and then it got worst for Quebecers after the 1995 referendum. No one in their right mind would want to set up shop in a terrorist zone or one that dictates how they communicates/do business. Stability is the the key to successful governing and growth.

I remember playing the original Unreal Tournament and being in the Clan CBGB. We only had 4 players from Canada and the rest American. One player named BSOD was from Montreal. He was a great player and a nice guy. I miss my clan days; so much fun.

Funny my experiences in Montreal and Quebec City have been quite the contrary. They could tell I was not a Canadian and had no issue with me not speaking French. My wife, on the other hand, was treated quite differently with her Canadian accented english.

That's pretty much what I've been told by people I know who have been to Quebec. They seems to be fine with non French speakers if they aren't Canadian, but look down on Canadians who don't speak French.

Either way....meh.....I spent a week in Paris, the city not Hilton, and got along just fine.
