F-22 is such a sexy beast. A-10 is just... I wanna snorgle it.
 
Nice pics. I grew up on USAF bases, so I remember fondly the Open House affairs they used to hold...

(this dates me, I know) I rmember seeing B-36's, B-47's, DC-3's, C-124's, C-119's, and some of the "new" jet fighters, such as the F-104 Starfighter, The F-101, the C-130 when it was brand-spanking new...dozens of restored WWII aircraft, and many, many more. (the early 60's were good!)

grew up on bases too BoomerD - although they were all SAC bases, so our open houses were definitely geared more towards the B-52 BUFFs, restored B-17s, B-24s, B-29s, I do remember seeing the B-1 for the first time & they had a AC-130 out once...that's one f'n mean machine!
 
Great quality on the pics.

Growing up around Naval air based you get so used to seeing planes in the sky daily. Now the sky seems so lonely.

I know most people get off on the jets (F22, A10 etc) but that P51 Mustang.... drool.
If I ever win the lottery its flying lessons and a quick purchase or 2 for me.

I've had to work that JSOH at Andrews for the last 3 years, after the first year it just means a weekend I'm on duty selling food or lugging speakers and running cable 😛

the centennial flight is defiantly the highlight for me.
