I drove across Chinook Pass on Friday on the way home from my mom's place.

The crews were dynamiting these slide areas as late as Thursday in preparation for opening.

Two point buck in the next door neighbor's yard yesterday morning. He waited while I went back for the camera but he was in the brush so those pics are not that good. No problem, he was still there an hour later and out in the sunlight when we came back home

Added a couple more from the pass, and a shot of an osprey a couple of weeks ago at Cowlitz Falls Dam. I worked on the construction of the dam in 1990~92. A pair have nested on the dam supestructure for the last few years. They can be quite noisy and active.

BTW, that's a 2-point buck. Westerners only count one side. Easterners and Southerners count ALL the points. (makes the buck seem bigger than it really is)

Kind of like your pictures. What camera are you using? What settings? Those images are extremely soft and grainy.
