gogeeta: your friend's ride looks nice..i'm not to fond of the taillight treatment or the white wheels though. But as long as he likes it its all good. Must be damn fast!

geno: <when you change your nick?> 95-96 are pretty cheap compared to 97/98..why not go for those? Same performance?

The wheels are actually just Alluminum...

Something no one has done is a VE swap into a 240. There are some technical issues to work out with the VE motors, but it would be interesting.

My friend just got a swap done on his 240... however the shop that did it really screwed him. We've been working with the car for 2 days now and its barely driveable now. The shop he had it done at is going to catch hell for this.

As I've always said, enjoy that car! :) They are such awesome cars and you got a pristine one.

A VE would be too heavy. You have to remember we want to keep the weight down and maintain the f/r weight distribution...I'm sure a heavy VE would tamper with the handling. And if I am going to put a V6..why not go for the VQ engine?? A 3L or even a 2.5L VQ from Japan?

Personally I think I should just stick to 20 hamsters in 20 wheels..more than enough power..and cheap on gas (unless hamster food is expensive!)

Maybe he's referring to the SR20VE?
200+ hp N/A with Nissan's Neo VVL technology
It's a 2.0 liter 4 banger IIRC.

240SX w/SR20VE swap - sorry, in Japanese only

I'm pretty sure he meant hte VE30 engine...A SR20VE wouldn't be viable in a 2700lbs car like the 240SX...it needs torque in the lower-range which hte turbo provides!
