I've spent time on the water with things that need ballence. Riding a snowboard down a fluffy hill is one things, but going huge on a snowboard is another. Try rails.... icy kickers... going inverted off cliffs.... At the 'sponsored' level... surfing isn't really as technical... Anyone watch X-Games yesterday? The gap they were doing was nuts. I watch a lot of the comps on TV.. recently a surfing comp from Hawaii... the sport requires great skill as well, but the level of insanity... the sport just isn't pushed enough.

In all my snowboarding, on a regular basis, would I never try so many things on a Snowboard...

If you're talking about "at a sponsored level", try some of these things:

You wanted to go big?

Or maybe you meant big air?

Oh, and you mentioned something about inverted...

Oh, wait, and try it without bindings.

hey notfred, ive always wanted to learn to surf. i live near san francisco, you think there are any surf 'schools' around here that can teach you how to surf? and the water seems awfully cold...
my cousin-in-law surfs, but he lives in hawaii and he started when he was very young. im 15 now, 15 now, is there any place where i can go to pick it up?

Pacifica is a nice place. I lived in Foster City for a while and used to work in SF. I only had one call out there as a medic though, long way from SF, I guess it was because I was near SFSC off of 19th.

it's a beautiful day in the San Francisco Bay Area !!!! .. yesterday i was wearing shorts, t-shirt and sandals.

I don't know if there are any in SF, but there a bunch in Santa Cruz, if you want to drive down there.

Easy now... See, being strapped to the board is the problem. He's not going to walk away from this.

Rails take skill

This is what I call big air.

Bigger...

And bigger...

Crazy Canadians...

Danger..danger...

I'm tired of linking pics.. need to find video clips.

Just found a couple old photos of me snowboarding. They're pretty bad quality but hopefully I'll get some better ones in the next few weeks.
