Some photos I took today :)

Big pictures rule. 😉

I think you need to learn you digicam a little more though, seems like many of them are blurry. 🙁

Still, great pics.

Sony DSC-P9 😀 I am just too lazy to resize and stuff, but I will do so in a few hours and post em here 😉

Probably so, but it's still my ISP's fault. This week they moved their operations to some stupid little town a hundred miles from nowhere, so there's probably a bad line between me and them now. I called them about it and they said it's not their problem. I don't anticipate it getting any better. When my subscription runs out again I won't be renewing.

The best it's ever been with these people is 24K anyway:Q That's the downside to living in an Amish paradise I guess.

nod.. It's still the lines though. And its true, there isn't anything they can do about it. 🙁 Even if you called your phone company, they wouldn't do sh!t... they don't guarentee any minimum data rate.

7.2k is horrid though! :Q I'm surprised you connect at all.

Oh.

😛

I thought you meant the Cascades.. mountain range.

/me backs away into the corner...

I actually wouldn't put it past these people to cut it down to 7.2K on purpose. I know I'm being silly, but nothing they could do would surprize me anymore. Would you believe that when they think I've used their crappy 24K internet too much, they delete my login from their database and I have to call them and get a new one? It's not like I'm sharing files, or using up insane amounts of their oh so precious 24K bandwidth either. I've had my account terminated while I was working out of town and only home for six hours a day before. How I have time to shower, eat dinner, abuse their 24K service, and sleep, all in six hours is a freakin mystery to me:|

Sorry for hijacking your thread😱 I just had to vent a little because this is pretty much as close to a living hell as a geek can get.

How do these look? 🙂

Thanks 🙂

Why dont you tell us what the frigging settings are and we can help!!! 😛

Seriously, it could be a few factors, most likely where the ASA is set, and the degree of compression.

Out with it mon! 😀

For a new guy, they actually aren't that bad, IMHO.... sure they're somewhat blurry, noisy, enormous, etc. but we all have to learn from some point, and he can only get better (I hope 🙂 ).

Anyway, it'd really be nice if we had a forum dedicated to photography... at least that way the photo experts could gather and give good advice. In any regard, I've got myself a Canon Powershot G3 on its way to me right now, so I'll begin my journey into the digicam world. Not sure I'd wanna post any of my first pictures here, b/c I might get banned 😉

No! No new forums, damnit!

This is a god damn computer hardware and related discussion forum. Everything(Including "News and Politics", IMO) belongs in Off Topic.
