I was just talking to a friend on icq. He's all pissed off because he's tried to download GTA 3 off of Kazaa today. All three times he's downloaded it it's been over 150 megs and it turned out to be a different game after he's unzipped it. HaHa.

Jesus christ, I had to pay $74.99 CDN with taxes in order to get GTA 3, I'm sure if everyone who bought it paid for it, the price may be just a tad bit cheaper. God, down with Kazaa!

No, the reason games cost $40-$50 is because people will pay for them. Game companies could charge $50-$60 and people would still pay.

Same with cds. Companies keep raising the prices and people keep paying.

Btw, i agree that copy protection schemes on games are a good thing.
 
I think of kazaa as a network for people like me who don't have enough money to go out and buy all the things we want. Not as some pirating network.

May all of your unauthorized, pirated downloads contain viruses that not only infect your computer, but you too.

The prices in B&m stores are higher than necessary because of shoplifting and pilferage by employees.

The prices of some software is higher because of pirating.

Get a life and buy it. I love the comment from the idiot who thinks it's ok to steal something just because he doesn't have the money to buy it. Next time you want the newest and greatest video card I have to assume you are going to walk into the store and shoplift it. Quit trying to justify your stealing, you moron.
