some people need to DIE

Holy crap! Dumbass friend speeds, goes out of control and she flies out for being a dumbfvck and not wearing her seatbelt. So she sues.... They should have bouncers outside courtrooms

Wow, I'm thinking she's a student at my university if she's from DuPage County (two hours north of here) and she's on I-55 (the road every university student takes to go to Chicago) from McLean county (where my university's at).

I shoudl give her a call and find out what happened.

I am sad, not because of what happened to her, but that I love in the same county as this idoit.

"According to the complaint, the front passenger restraint system failed to restrain Ubaudi in the car, the restraint system failed to provide protection and manufacturer failed to provide instructions regarding the safe and proper use of a seatbelt."

Failed because it broke, didn't work, or because she didn't buckle up? If she was ejected from the car even though she had her seatbelt on, she would have a legitimate case against Mazda. I don't really see how you could see the contractor though, its the driver's responsibility to drive at a safe speed. Every construction project I've driven though has been clearly marked.

It sounds like she's trying to say they didn't provide proper documentation or whatever for how to use a seatbelt, meaning she's trying to come up with an excuse for why she wasn't wearing one.

I hate people like this. The saddest part is that all too often they win (or at least the defendant opts to settle out of court).

You think that's ridiculous? People have tried to sue car dealers because they weren't told that they needed to put gas in their cars to run.

How hard is it to put a seatbelt on? Its her own fault.
I second the proposal for her to DIE
