Some one just deposit 775 dollars in to my account

I checked online banking yesterday and found it out. That money is absolute not mine. some strangers just deposit to my account for no reason. Has this happened to your guys before.
All of sudden your account is 775 richer.
 
OOPS! i was wondering why the money hadn't shown up on my statement yet! please pm me so we can sort this out!
 
Its probably some poor person's pay deposited to the wrong account compliments of the idiot teller that gave them the wrong number on their direct deposit slip which they gave to their employer, happened to me before. Don't spend it.

It could easily be for 2 weeks.
 
My wife just got a 105.62 credit on her American Eagle card, which she cancelled two months ago. Apparently they posted someone's payment to her account. The operator thanked her for calling in about it as more than likely they would have issued her a refund check and had to cover the real card holders payment if he provided proof they cashed the payment check.

Chances are they'd catch it down the road, all they'd have to do is search for all the payments of the same amount and see what accounts they went to, and then pull the images and see if who got who's check.
 
i've heard of people pulling a scam where they pre-encode account numbers onto deposit slips that *look* blank, and take them to the bank and slip them into the blank deposit slip stack. unsuspecting customers come in and deposit their money into a totally different acocunt, without realizing it.

is this what happened here? 😉
 
They WILL catch it. Better call the bank tomorrow and let them know before you'll get the urge to spend it which will lend you in more hot water then you can imagine.
 
what a coincidence, bought 775 shares of AMD yesterday, and got slaughtered today because they warned on revenues today. looks like there's a good chance AMD may file bankruptcy

maybe nvidia? i haven't looked at their cash statements lately.

Right, like the bank would have no record of a $775 deposit to his account.

 
That's a pain in the ass to have someone else's money just sittin in your bankaccount.
