I'd like to get a few of these items ahead of time before they run out and use price protection but it don't want to screw up my rebate dates. Any suggestions ? Thanks

Why not call your local Staples and ask them about the rebate requirements? I'm pretty sure you can buy today, price adjust on 2/18 or 2/19 and still qualify for the rebate. UNLESS the rebate is only good for two days which might be so if it's a Staples promo rebate. But chances are it's one of those generic (must be purchased between blah blah to blah blah). If you do call Staples let us know what they said.

I've owned three Logitech desktops - cordless mouse and cordless keyboard. The oldest one dating back some 3 yrs (?) used to have a lag on the keyboard, but the two newer ones (~1 yr old) are great. None have a noticeable mouse lag. Battery life is darn good and being able to move the kb/m out of the way at an instant on my crowded desk is priceless. Compgeeks sometimes sells refurb desktops (where I got mine).

I have one of the logitech cordless mice, and it is great. Logitech uses radio, not infrared, so it's not limited by line of sight. Supposed to have an approx 6' radius on reception. I have my receiver behind my speaker, next to my power control center, and no interference, and NO lags. I got this to replace a microsoft Intellimouse with intellieye (Now, there was some lagging/wierdness for you). Got the mouse 4 months ago I believe, and still on the same battery....

Don't trust anything from Delta. I've read numerous posts here about the lack of quality. Personally, I owned one once and it lasted a total of 3 days before it stopped reading CDs. Not worth buying at any price unless you're into the whole RMA thing.

Just as lzproof says stay away from the delta drives. My brother has returned 3 of them in the past couple months, all dying on the same system.

Tung,

I have the Creative burner in my son's computer. It runs perfectly. Does everything my Plextor does, well, does not do Burn Proof.... :)

It also does CloneCd.

I think that this is a fantastic buy.

The logitech cordless mouse is EXCELLENT. That's all I'll use now! I even sprung for the cordless desktop (keyboard and mouse) and will never go back to cords.

Anyone have the skus?

As long as the items are available online, there should be NO PROB placing orders first thing Sunday (using coupons) and calling back for a PM with their B & M. I wouldn't be surprised if the deals are also available online.

Any idea if the Maxtor 20 gb drive qualifies for the Maxtor ata100 controller rebate ?
Would be sweet if it does !

I don't believe so. I think you have to buy at least the 40 gig drive to qualify for that. I have seen the 30 gig with the promo before, but I think you have to get the 40 gigger now. In any even, I don't believe the 20 gig drive has ever been an acceptable HD purchase to get the rebate on the ATA100 controller.

The 20 Gig does qualify for the rebate. The one I bought last week has the promo sticker right on the box.

The old promotion required the 40 gb drive. The current one just has to have the right product ID. The 20 gb Staples has for $99 fits the bill (from another thread). Here's the promotion from Maxtor So long as the kit starts with ST01, ST04, ST06, V06, K01 or K04, it's valid.
