Got an intel and Falcon SSD a couple of weeks ago, both work great without any issues.
Anyways I have a habit to check SMART values for my HDDs just to check if anything's a problem. So I checked SMART data on my SSDs while I was at it. The intel one just reports a few values such as power cycles count, nothing interesting there or anything suspect.
However the falcon one has some odd values.
ID Attribute Description T V W Data Status
C6 Offline Uncorrectable Sector Count 0 195 29 8863 OK: Always passes
C7 Ultra ATA CRC Error Rate 0 156 135 5693 OK: Always passes
C8 Write Error Rate 0 89 195 96 OK: Always passes
C9 Soft Read Error Rate 0 106 81 85 OK: Always passes
A normal HDD with those values would probably be near dead with a stuffed interface cable.
Obviously a lot of the entries would not apply to SSD drives.
So has anyone else looked at SMART for their SSD? Do they even support SMART properly?
Would be interesting to compare with some one else who has a Falcon.
