This issues/problems pertains to an older desktop PC. Contains T Force 6100 T-Series MB. Received very good information on the device managers from Burpo. These problems are related to the same build.

The date/time setting will not hold when set up in bios & boot screen? When shut down & restarted goes back to date setting of approx 10 yrs ago. For some reason the monitor screen will go black & the system will reboot and start all over again. Sometimes it will even stay booted for a while before reverting. Replace the battery 3V. Replaced DDR. Problems remain.

For what its worth. Firefox crashes numerous times while searching sites? That just about does it. Your advice, suggestions, recommendations, input would very much be appreciated. Thank you for your patience & understanding. SM USAF 62-66

Board has issues.. Time to scrap it.. It's an mATX board, so you can replace it with any number of boards, but is it worth it?

I assume you pulled the ethernet card you added?

Not yet .... going to go to the downloaded zip file as you suggested, and just as a last test. I'll see if I can learn how to install it and see if that will take care of that problem. Even if it does, I wanted to know if the issues were MB related? As you pointed out, That will probably be the way I'll go. Have to see what MB is compatible. Thanks for the update. SM

If it were me, I'd pull the card and see if the failing clock continues ( you're sure the 3volt battery is good?
If you wish to load the drivers.. That file when executed, creates a folder on your hard drive (c: SpeedStream1020) and extracts its files there, into a number of sub-folders, for any OS from Windows 95 to Windows XP.
Your Device manager has an unidentified ethernet adapter, so you'll have to browse/search the drivers for it & your particular O.S. from the sub-folders. There is included, "readme" files that explain how to configure the card..

Good luck..

Is it possible that the Clear BIOS jumper was left on the wrong pins?

Checked that out, very good suggestion, as I have been able to revive a couple of the older PCs simply by reversing the bios jumper. Leaving that done for 5 to 10 minutes then reconnecting in the right order. Able to reboot & monitor comes on. Not everytime but about 50% of time. SM USAF 62-66

Pulled card took care of that issue. Should of followed your instructions and learn the right way to configure the card. Just the same - thanks very much for taking the time to post the step by step directions. I'm sure, if I can remember, will come in handy later if the onboard does not work. SM USAF 62-66

Take the battery out and examine where the mobo connects to the battery holder. Sometimes replacing the battery can cause a breakage where soldered to the board.
