I got a asus a7n8x deluxe with a xp2400+ cpu and 2 x 256mb "el cheepo" cl2.5 pc2700 memory sticks.

I found that i get best benchmarks with my mem and cpu speed in sync. Running stable at 144mhz at the moment with vcore @ 1.75v.

1. How far can i push this cpu and what voltage is still safe(no explosions) ?

2. Do i stick the memory into the 2 blue slots to enable the dual channel architecture ?

3. Does the pci bus speed depend on the cpu or fsb speed or does it stay at 33mhz ?

Im now at 172mhz*12.5 and the machine has come alive !
Running prime95 torture to test the new setup...so far so good.
 
yup
them athlons really come alive after about 166mhz

i ahve my xp2100+ at 200*11 for now

that vcore should be aight
its probably in the 1.79 range for actual vcore, which is still ok
just dont go any higher would be my advice
