Some newb help with wireless networking...

ok well I'm kinda new to setting up a wireless network...but it's for 1 desktop and a laptop...the laptop has wireless connectivity built in...it's all gotta be from best buy so no newegg or anything here...all we would need is a router and a wireless card for the desktop right?

You are on the right track however the hardware you link to is extremely expensive.

CompUSA has a comparable D-Link hardware on sale this week for less than half of price quoted on Best Buy.
