I think it's one of the best looking ones yet. So stark and modern. Like, "Yeah, you know who I am. I don't have to prove anything to you. I don't even have to talk to you. I'm better than all that. Better than you."

Negatory, the old style says all of that...the new one just says "I got shafted."

Bleh, hate the way the front lip comes up in the middle. That really screws up the front end. Side looks clean, though unremarkable.

I think the old one was looking too soft, rolly and friendly.

I tell you what, we'll see which one's around in 4 years, and decide the winner then. 😛

lol, I tell you what, lets take a look at BMW sales since the new style was introduced. I will make a bet that the new 3 series will follow the same fate. If i was going to buy a 3 series, it would be from 2004 or before.

Although I know I'm in the minority here, I actually like the new design better. Looks clean-cut and stylish without being excessive.

BMW sales are up overall. The new 7-series has caught on, the 5-series will in time, and 6-series is considered beautiful by many. I happen to think the 6-series in monstrous myself, but meh.

3 series sales won't go up or down. They never fluctuate much. They could build "The Homer" and slap a BMW 3-series badge on it and it would sell. Plus then people would have a seperate bubble for the kids!

Meh, I thought I read somewhere that they were down something like 50%...oh well. Now that I think about it, those #s might be for the 5 series only. I hope the '06 style is different or next year when Im buying a car, ill have to buy a used BMW or go elsewhere.

Yeah, 5-series sales are down pretty severely.

And as they often say on Top Gear, when you're driving a car that's great to drive, it doesn't matter what it looks like; you can't see it from behind the steering wheel. But image is more important to some people than performance, I suppose.

I assume you're talking about the entire driving experience(handling, comfort, etc.) B/c WRX STI is a beast, but very fugly IMO and I wouldn't buy one.

They look about like a Chrysler 300C to me.... 😛

I don't see any differences.

I find it amusing that you went to the trouble to find pictures refuting my absolutely ridiculous claim though.

Diselstation....one of my few Favorites, organized so neatly it wasn't hard to find them. 😉

I haven't been a fan of the other Bangle styling...but I think this looks pretty decent. Looks like the 5 series without the hideous back and ugly headlights w/ eyebrows.

i like the front and back(thank gawd theres no Bangle butt!!), its just that crease on the side of the car that bothers me
