Some links dont work in IE in Win 7

Something happened recently that prevents certain links in IE from working. I then proceeded to upgrade from 8 to 9, and that didnt solve the problem. It seems to do it for links opening up into a different window. Not sure if it is the popup blocker or some security setting. It just started happening about a week ago.

I had that happen because during an upgrade, Google Chrome snuck in and installed itself as THE default browser. This blew all my links until I figured out what the problem was.

The fix was easy - I uninstalled Chrome and reset IE as my default browser. The links then worked.

I dont think that can help me, as I didnt install anything to uninstall, and the default browser is still IE. I only upgraded to IE9 in hopes it would fix the issue, which it did not. Also, not all links within websites, only certain ones, usually ones opening up another window in a different area. I enabled the option in security settings to allow script initiated without size or position yada yada yada. and that didnt seem to help. My other computers have it enabled (by default) and they dont have this issue.

Try putting important links on the Favorites Bar. Consider re-organizing your Favorites. Those are the prime links.
