i go to a store in MonKwok, where they have Sony, Samsung, Mitsubishi, ComeMon(other model), Topcon, Philips.

I find that ComeMon L17CD has the biggest contrast ratio and it really looks darker , and the color looks softer than any other brands.

however, don't have program to test the response rate.

parts/ labour/ backlight/ on-site warranty:
Sony: 3/2/2/3
NEC, Mitsubishi: 3/3/1/1
Samsung: 2/2/2/2
Sharp: 3/3/0/1
Viewsonic: 3/3/3/3
Philips: 3/3/3/2
Eizo: 5/5/3/3

Eizo is the best buy, 2nd choice is Philips or Viewsonic.

ok, however, i find that ComeMon's mon is quite worth of look for.

Don't know why, the image(contrast ratio) is quite good. darker than any brands like sony, samsung, nec... I know contrast ratio does have a standard worldwide but this mon has 750:1.

ComeMon L17CD 17" LCD
Sapphire Radeon 9100 128MB

I bought this lcd without a regret, however i haven't have a chance to look at other lcd more than 5 hours. but this lcd i have is quite good.

my other question is when i watch dvd movies(divx), image doesn't look as dark as my CRT monitors.

how can i find out what is the actually response time of this LCD?

SHould i let Vsync on or off if i play games like CS(whiter background than Quake)?

however, what i do most is typing, browsing internet.

i want to bring up this, i find that "cleartype" will make text looks more outstanding(contrast)
