and saddam was an arab socialist. and the taliban employed a form of 'scientific' materialism to re-write their social history that was
developed during the french revolution and also employed by pol pot, lenin, and a few other left-of-center superstars.
Nice try. Taliban was a right wing dictatorship that provided no services to its people aside from dogma. Sounds like the GOP to me.
Oh, and US loved Saddam because he was murdering Iraqi communists. So there goes that one.
they're a 'right-wing dictatorship' because they overdosed on religion, eh ? please. the taliban sought to return to a mythical
never-never land they believed existed around the time the prohet muhammad walked the earth. they rolled back the social
calendar by undoing all the perceived modern reforms the secular monarchies and civilian governments had instituted. this
specific objective is identical to policies lenin, pol pot, stalin, and others worked to impose - a return to 'year zero'. sounds
familiar ?
as for saddam, he murdered anything that moved, and he too sought to remake the average iraqi, who was not up to snuff
on educational or social standards as measured against western indices, through enforced schooling for all adult citizens,
among other measures. and we do know who saddam worshipped, who he pattered his own secret police apparatus after,
right ?
