Where did you go to get that first pic? I can recognize all the other areas but the first one doesn't look as familiar. Actually now that I look harder I think that is near the BU bridge?

looks to be from the longfellow looking towards the mass ave bridge (can't remember the name of that one).

Thank you for my new background pic!!! 🙂 By the way what was your general exposure time? I'm playing with the infrared filter myself and just haven't found a pleasing enough subject for a real nice shot.

P.S. I love my Tamron Di lenses!!

how does the IR filter work?

iut works by cutting all light that is below the wavelength of 720nm so only IR and above gets through, IR is always there but the human eye cannot see it

i took it from teh walkway that goes over storrow by MGH, right next to whatever bridge the redline goes over, the bridge in teh background is the Mass Ave bridge

cool pics - i knew a couple looked familiar and then i saw you are from cambridge. when did you take the pics?

Yesterday between 1-4

What do they look like in color?
they look normal, green grass light blue sky...... you know all that, cant post them because i dont have them in color, the filter makes them look B&W + a red cast,

Exposure time is between 2-4 seconds f/8-11
