I haven't heard from them again. However, I do continue to get E-mail from Anne's idiot sorority sisters.

As an added bonus, the account in question never once received a spam message until Anne started giving it out. Now I get about 25 per day.

It's not. However, the initials of Anne's first and middle names apparently match mine, and we share the same last name (it's a common last name).

Welcome to my world! I have had at least 6 people with the same problem. I do not currently have anyone, but it's due time for another.

I posted a list of some of the people before. It included at least one medical doctor and one pHD someone was corresponding with from a conference in San Diego, a law student being courted across the country by some guy on a business trip, and a lady requesting information from the freedom of information act about soil or groundwater or some other nonsense to me.

But recently I had another who was making a forum account and I got all sorts of confirmations, so I logged into the account and sent rude PMs to some moderators and made a profile stating how the website was slow to load and poorly designed and such.

I also sent emails to change the color of some shoes and accessories ordered by another offending party.

I rarely got any spam in my email account before all of these retards started trying to use my email account, so I figure I owe them the trouble.

Apparently gmail treats that the same as without the period. This idiot uses my firstlastname@gmail.com on a lot of things, like Amazon and Itunes. So I keep getting notices about those things which I didn't order. I've also had personal emails from his family, which I've replied to and let them know to tell him. This past week I have had a bunch from his cable installation setup and reminders. It's ridiculous. No way to contact him as it'll just come back to me.

ive probably had a dozen cases of this. some girl gave it out as her school project email. someone signed up for the netflix trial. ive gotten dick picks. im on a few albanian? travel agency emails. 'nikki u'sed my address for her graduation photos. rosanna used it to sign up for mortar board.

most recently mark changed his wells fargo bankign email to my address. poor guy didnt get the two email addresses informing him he had insufficient funds..

oh and this is just for my personal email address, firstinitiallastname@gmail.com. I only give it out to friends/family. I have a different email for online services.

Somehow an assload of people with my first initial, last name @ gmail seem to get their e-mail address wrong and use mine instead. I've had it posted in a major US newspaper by mistake, the author of the article f-ed up. I've also received numerous e-mail confirmations of orders, passwords, financial information, project reports, party invites, personal messages, etc.

Usually they are from all over the country, but one guy in particular seems to lack the ability to get his e-mail address correct - Jordan. I'm not sure how this guy makes it through life, but over the past 90 days, he has used my e-mail address ALL over the place (and no, its not Spam)

I've contacted each of the people who have e-mailed Jordan at my address, and many reply with an apology, but yesterday I reached my limit.

Apparently Jordan is looking for a job, as I received some confirmations of his registration for a few job websites, as well as some e-mails from employers responding to the resume he sent them.

I'm half tempted to not only reply that they have the wrong address, but that the person they are seeking has an either an issue with accuracy or just lacks basic typing skills.

you should change your email address
people look up email addresses on google and clearly yours will be associated with a bunch of douchey stuff that you'd rather not be associated with.

Had something similar with my cell phone. Seems that someone was using my number when applying for credit, and I would be constantly called by debt collectors looking for this guy. I eventually had to change my phone number.

Yes, some idiot used my email address for their Facebook. I changed his password and deleted his other email address from his account. It's hilarious because this guy still tries to log in and I know because I keep getting notifications from Facebook if I forgot my password.

i curious to how people can F this up more then once, if i register for something and they send me a conf email, the first thing i do is wait for it to arive, i literally stare at my inbox waiting for it, if it doesnt come in 5 min i go and make sure i didnt F up my email addy

They deserve what they get imho, anyone with some brains makes sure that the address he inserted is correct.

when gmail first came out, I registered firstname@gmail and firstname.lastname@gmail.
My main email is firstname@gmail, and I dont really check my other gmail account too much. Recently, I tried logging into my firstname.lastname@gmail account and the password didn't work. Tried the password recovery, and noticed that the phone number tied to the account is one I don't recognize. Did google give away my email account? sucks!
