Some hints on where OD plans to close stores

OD has been a little obtuse about the exact locations of their store closings. Here is what I have been able to gather so far:

• Here's a state-by-state breakdown of store closings:
  • Ohio - 20 stores (!)
  • Arizona - 9 stores
  • Michingan - 8 stores
  • New York - 6 stores
  • California - 5 stores
  • Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Utah - 2 stores
  • Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee - 1 store

• Also, they are closing all stores in the following areas: Phoenix; Boston; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH. If you live in one of these areas, please run, don't walk, to your nearest OD, buy things and look around and report back Thanks!

Obviously this could be abused, but hey....just a thought.

The NY stores that are closing all seem to be on Long Island:

Farmingdale
Garden City
Holbrook
Port Jefferson Station
Syosset
Westbury

No real deals in Farmingdale as of 14:00 today.

Being a Golden Member means squat...just cuz someone's posted 1000+ times doesn't mean those posts were quality ones. How does that qualify one to be a moderator of these threads? Leave the moderating to the Moderators.

It was in the paper last night that the one here in Waterloo, Iowa was closing. This sucks as I have been able to get awesome price match deals with Staples,OfficeMax, and Office Depot all with in a mile of each other.

i would be surprised to hear that any of the ods were closing in memphis. they're in strategic locations already. it will probably be the winchester ave store(other two candidates out of five are poplar ave and union ave--but they're next door to a lot of offices with miles to the nearest officemax between them), but's it's one(winchester) of the ones in best condition! can't be the one in jackson, od guy told me they already got the 5500pci before we DO (haven't yet)
