Hahaha, wow. The game has been out for little more than a year, and this guy has accumulated 200 days /played (that is, logged on and playing the game) time. Everyone point and laugh.

Maybe he didn't log out of the game when he wasn't playing. I use to do that... i would just head to town and go AFK, sometimes even being there for days and not playing.

No they didn't. They make the same off him then off somebody who played only 1 hr a month. The subscription is based on months, not hours played. In fact, they made less money off him than a more casual player, because he used more bandwidth.

Quite the opposite really. They're spending extra money providing bandwidth and other services to him. He would cost more money to support than anyone who plays less.

i've had the game for 10 days...played probably a total of less than 15-20 hours and i'm at lvl 17

and also if you stay afk for 30 mins the game logs you off automatically.

Well, it's definitely possible that he spent a lot of time AFK, but it automatically logs you out after 15-20 minutes.

If they started playing on the release date, that works out to 12.5 hours/day. That's like the kind of work day the lawyers I know put in.

I'm pretty sure there must be a setting to turn that off. That would be absolutely absurd if you couldn't.

No you can't. The only way is to have some sort of bot (which they will ban you for).

That is an INSANE amount of time. I was going to mention he could have just stayed logged in but darkxshade says it logs you out (didn't know that).

I have clocked in about 8 days or something like that in a 6 weeks. I haven't played in the past 7 days as I had stuff planned. WoW is fun at times but it is seriousy tedious at others. Nice to kick back and play a bit.

Well you could bypass the auto log feature by taping one of your movement buttons down so that you're not really "afk" but you get banned if you get caught. My guess is he's lying and actually does take shifts playing the account with someone else.
