High speed internet is always worthy, not only for downloading games. But here I don't have much option!

I can't believe that I will have to download this for more than a week again! Unbelievable! What could possible go wrong with downloading anyway?

I uploaded a video to YouTube, don't know! No sleep since last night, now gotta go to office, my mother is right, I am just a dumb kid wasting my time.

I guess some corrupted files. I didn't download from steam though, I got it direct from rockstar.

Had crashing right there,if you don't got a pagefile enabled then enable something like 3-4gb.Not sure but this game uses insane amounts of memory both physical and virtual.

You mean the Allocated Virtual Memory thing? Well in that case it's at default setting, which is some 8 GB or something. Few days ago I disabled the Hibernation option, to make some space for C drive.

The game installed at a different partition, not in C drive, so I don't know how Pagefile and all those matter here as other than C drive there's no such thing as Allocated Virtual Memory, disregard this comment if Pagefile is a different thing though.

i'm telling you, put your CPU back to it's factory clocks... and start from there.

I literally have no idea why people keep bringing the OC thing! Anyway, I disabled OC quite a long ago, as soon as I saw the post asking me to disable OC!

Just to be clear, evening runs fine on my rig, everything with OC. After getting the new GPU I loaded the optimal settings for CoD AW and Far Cry 4 and those running smoother than butter.

There's nothing wrong with the system, no damn way, there's something wrong with the game, or the download or whatever else it could be.

Update: Anyway, I did that verify integrity thing few hours ago and that time it took more than 15 minutes to check all the files and then it started to download a 2 GB update. The game folder's size was 60.6 GB before, now it's 62.6 GB. I'll see whether this update solves anything or not at night.

my game runs perfectly fine :p but I have everything at default, the only thing I changed was the installation directory. But everything else is factory.

Okay it was the damn 2.2 GB update. After the update the game now runs fine, and I can now even use Nvidia's software to Optimise the settings of the game.

My rig (CPU mainly) is really old it seems, the Optimised settings is five click below the maximum quality settings :( I wasn't expecting maximum anyway, but five bars are kind of a lot :( Time to order that X5675.

Anyway, the game is running fine, all that matters now.

Is anyone playing GTA 5 on an i5 ?

Dude, I'm playing it on a Q9500 with zero issues. All settings maxed out too. The newest thing in my 2008 rig is the 1TB SSD and the r290. Other than that im still using an s775 cpu and only 8gb of DDR2 ram.

I fixed some memory related crashes by turning the page file off for my ssd and turning it on for my mechanical drives. No more crashes and I can do 8 hour sessions.

Everything is running absolutely fine, except I get this message every time I enter the game after an exit!

Post some screens of Afterburner. I doubt your minimums are high and you are experiencing plenty of hitching.
