Generally it works in the opposite direction, as it is the reason for most piercings in "sensitive" areas.

It does increase sensitivity while they're in but if a girl decides to take them out an let them heal she'll lose all sensitivity. Which makes doing it seem even dumber to me. It's not like you wouldn't want to take them out eventually so why do it knowing you'll have busted nipples later?

Uh...no, they don't necessarily lose sensitivity when they heal. My ex-gf had one for awhile and took it out. She didn't lose all sensitivity. I don't think she lost ANY sensitivity, actually.

Must not be the same for all girls then. I've known two girls who took them out and lost sensitivity. Haven't met any other girls that have let them heal over though so I have nothing to compare that to.

I have some friends who are into piercings and they seem to say it goes one way or the other - it either greatly increases the sensitivity or kills it off altogether.

I have my nipples pierced, and for me they INCREASED sensitivity. i would believe it would be the same for girls too, but i guess its different for every person.

actually...in spanish, latina refers to girls and latino refers to guys because spanish nouns have gender (not that any hispanics actually refer to themselves as latinos or latinas) however since English nouns don't have gender, "the Spanish adjective-noun agreement rules do not determine the English usage" of the word. the use of 'latina" to refer to a latino woman is unsual in English. so basically referring to a "latina" as Latino girl or woman is just fine. but i prefer "hispanic" 🙂
