Generally it works in the opposite direction, as it is the reason for most piercings in "sensitive" areas.I wonder if she loses sensitivity in that area after sticking a ring through it?
It does increase sensitivity while they're in but if a girl decides to take them out an let them heal she'll lose all sensitivity. Which makes doing it seem even dumber to me. It's not like you wouldn't want to take them out eventually so why do it knowing you'll have busted nipples later?
Uh...no, they don't necessarily lose sensitivity when they heal. My ex-gf had one for awhile and took it out. She didn't lose all sensitivity. I don't think she lost ANY sensitivity, actually.
Must not be the same for all girls then. I've known two girls who took them out and lost sensitivity. Haven't met any other girls that have let them heal over though so I have nothing to compare that to.
