Anybody noticed this? I certainly did. It fits great into those $30 off $150 or $40 off $200 deals. Some chairs are just great deals like the one for $58 or the one for $45. The one for $58 is much better chair than the one Officemax had for $50 couple of weeks ago, more durable.

What a great deal! I got in on the $154 for $58 chair. It does change the delivery date from 1 business day to 4 in my case, your mileage may vary. I even got the free shipping since my order was > $50.

GREAT FIND!

I am not sure about those Staples delivery dates. I had few 1-days and they came after 2 business days, and then I had one 4 days and that one came after 3 business days. Whatever but all came fast enough and with no shipping charges so I am not going to complain. More reliable than Dell anyway. They will also split packages but it won't cost more, you will get them in few different shipments, make sure you have somebody to receive them.

It cracks me up that they do this. I've had several mind-boggling shipment splits from Staples with no extra charge. One deal I found here was for ...ah, who knows at this point... but I had to get the price up by less than a buck so I threw in a fancy-schmancy ballpoint pen for about $3.00. What happened next? You guessed it. The pen showed up on my doorstep the next day all packaged by itself and the other thing I ordered showed up the day after. I know they have their own delivery trucks so it isn't like they're paying FedEx to drop it off at my door, but still. Time is money.

Very amusing the way this works.

I got in on the $58 chair at the beginning of the week and it changed my date to 4 business days for delivery as well. I actually did a "save a sale" in store to order the chair because I was there and had the $10 coupon with me (make sure to find a $10 coupon code if you order online to make it even cheaper. you might need to add $2 worth of stuff to make sure you get free shipping still).

Anyway, I got the chair after 2 days, maybe it was just one. It is very high quality from what I can tell so far. The foam will definitely last a while. That's the reason I choose this chair over one of those leather chair deals - mine will actually be around while those will have been discarded after 3 months, or at least being sat in uncomfortably ;).

Some of the other chairs look like good deals, too, but this chair is definitely worth the money. Great deal!

I also ordered one of the $58 chairs to replace a Situations Leather chair that didn't last very well. The cloth chairs I've had in the past lasted years longer than this leather one (foam mashed down). Thanks for posting this deal stevejst! BTW, what color $58 chair did you get (blue here)?

Not sure if they're available at B&M but shipping is free if you order online.

I've seen the high back $58 chair at B&M, but not for a while now. That's the only chair out of the bunch I've seen at the store I work at, so this is probably an online thing only (doesn't hurt to call your B&M though)

regarding the delivery dates...i remember reading in another staples thread a while back that they drop ship lots of things from Ingram Micro, who has wharehouses all over the U.S......possibly a reason for late deliveries?...i'm pretty sure they ship ground if it is from Ingram....

Did you have to pay for shipping under $50? ($43 + shipping?)

I went to my "local" Staples (50 min drive) to get in on the $9 UPS. While I was there, I went to see what kinda cheap chairs they had. I spotted a Samsonite chair that was regularly $169 on clearance for $79. I gave it the fat a$$ test & I thought I was in heaven. Lumbar support to boot. The chair was a combination of leather & fabric w/steel legs & a limited lifetime warranty. Needless to say I snatched me one up (along with the UPS).

What's this 58 dollar chair everyone keeps talking about? When I look at the links above I don't see any chair that cost 58 dollars...

Thanx

I just got the same deal on the Samsonite chair last night. It is not that great looking, but I was going to get the $300 brown leather samsonite chair, and this one felt much better and was much cheaper. It's got the best back support I have ever felt. I got the $9 UPS also.
