I know the SX830 is among the best but it seems to be unavailable.

I looked at the EN-7237 and these were the notable cons from various reviews:

1. motherboard tray riveted to the case
2. noisy
3. cover is difficult to get back on
4. drive rails (lead to instability??)

Is the Enlight that bad?? Should I wait for the Antec??

NB.. I'm not an overclocker.

Mulch:

I have an Enlight 7237 and I love it. Let's run through your points.

1. The motherboard tray is screwed to the case, not riveted. True, it may not be as convenient as a sliding mobo tray but the fact that I have to unscrew two screws is not a big deal to me.

2. "Noisy" is somewhat subjective. In my situation I assume any excessive noise I'm exeriencing is related more to 11 fans than any shortcomings on the case's part. (And I don't find my case with 11 fans to be unbearable by any means.)

3. The screwless cover is a breeze to get on and off. You just pop the front bezel off and then each of the sides slide off. What could be easier?

4. IMHO driverails are one of the greatest inventions since sliced bread. With drive rails it's a snap to rearrange components. Or, in my case, swap components, e.g., CD-ROMS, from my system to the wife's. (Which is in an Enlight 6680.) I don't see any way that drive rails contribute to stability.

Hope this clears up some misconceptions.

I have 2 Enlight 7237s and they're a delight. I don't find anything noisy about them (if anything, my Supermicro 760A with dual Xeons is the killer).

In addition to what Dan said, there's also plenty of room so you can move around easily in it and not keep hitting up against the frame... Plus it comes with an intake fan in the front (at the bottom) so that's one less you'd need to buy. It could use some more holes in the front bezel in front of the fan, but then that's what case modding is all about! ;)

If I'm not mistaken, it can accept an AT mobo too (and has the cut outs in the back to adjust for that), and it's roomy enough for it.

It's just an overall nice case - and not as tall as the Antec SX830 (which is why I didn't get one, aside from my not liking that ugly bezel on the Antec... blech! :p).

Thanks for the info guys!

Googlegear.com - I forgot about them. Thanks for reminding me.

It's a tough choice to make, but I think I'll go along with the Enlight.

The noisiness will have more to do with fans and hard drives, if that isn't being way too obvious ;) My sister's 7237 is extremely quiet due to the use of quiet fans, including in the power supply. I like the looks of the Antec too, but I'd be pleased with either of them.

I've got an Enligh 7233 (MUCH like the 7237), and I love it. I did replace the default 250w power supply with a 300w Antec, but other than that it's the best case I've ever worked with.

From the Enlight website, I gather that the general model name for them is 7230. The 7237 is only one of them. I guess the main difference is the front cover.

I'm having trouble finding the 7237 on certain wesites though. I see various model numbers like 72370XA and 72370MA. Is there any major difference??

If you live in the Southwest Directron.com has enlight 7237 cases for 65.00
I just got one today and I like it alot even though its empty. Directron has
pretty good sales rep and they are in houston. Which is a bonus since I'm in TX
Shipping was only 10 bucks so thats great since I've paid 10 dollars for shipping
for a freakin stick of ram! Anyway I'm happy with the case and be sure to grab
a case sticker as well which they sell too.

All the cases that i bought are by Enlight, i have bought many of the 7233, and one the 7237. These are just the best IMO.

The Enlight 7237 was very good say 1 1/2 years ago, but recent case designs are much better than the Enlight. I ditched my 7237 and went for a Fong Kai 603, and its really a lot better. I've also heard good things about Antecs cases, but I've never used them so I cant comment.

I love my 7237. The screwed in mobo tray is not a problem for me. I like the fact that the whole face comes off leaving the power switch, and LEDs in the case. The case (atleast to me is not noisy (my fans may be but not the case). And I like the drive rails. This is just my oppinion but I love the 7237.

Can you buy this Fong Kai in belgium ? If so, where ?
Don't start with buying over the internet... I'm very old fashioned.

Had the Enlight case before buying the Antec. Antec rocks but Enlight still makes a decent case. If money is an issue, I don't think you will be disappointed with the Enlight.

As far as Europe goes you may have trouble, in the USA Fong Kai sells cases in retail stores such as Best Buy as well as mail order. In Europe your best bet is probably one of those giant PC stores. I've heard people having problems locating Fong Kai cases in Europe though.

I love my Enlight case. It has a lot of room to work and the slide rails are cool. Except I can't get my HD fans to mount in my case or on the slide rails. That is the only bad thing I can think of. Get this case, it is awesome.

My one and only complaint about my Enlight 7237 is that the top cover is riveted on. When I finally get around to cutting a hole in the top for a fan, I'll have to remove everything from the case so that it doesn't get a lovely coating of steel dust. Otherwise, it's very nice. Fan on the front, space for a fan on the back; side panels are pretty easy to remove. Oh yes, one other complaint - there's only 3 3.5" drive bays. Seeing how I have 2 floppy drives and 2 hard drives, that was a bit of a problem; had to use a 3.5-5.25 adapter for the 2nd hard drive. Wasn't to difficult though, considering that there's 4 of the 5.25" bays.

You can get the 7237 from www.axiontech.com with a 300W PS for around 58.

I like this case, but imo the drive rails are a pain in the arse. Maybe I installed them wrong?

Cubensis: I asked a friend of mine who lives in Belgium and he suggested www.mpl.be. Hope that is useful! :)

I would disagree with all of the cons you read.

The only thing I was unhappy w/in the 2 I have purchased, is I had to redrill the drive rails because the holes didnot line up.
