Here's some Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Rainbow Six: Vegas screenshots I took. I'll update later with some Gothic 3 screens. Screenshots taken at max detail (except Double Agent where I HAVE to turn off high detail shaders) and there is no AA applied since there is no option for it ingame...and it screws up ingame textures if I force it through the driver.

The fps for Vegas is a bit weird...I can look at something and it's capped at 60fps, then I turn just slightly in another direction and the fps goes down to 30...it never goes below. Splinter Cell seems to be capped at 60. Even if I turn off vsync it stays at 60. Oh and SOME shadows in Double Agent are horrible....all jagged.

I think the Gothic 3 landscapes are a bit more detailed than Oblivion (unless you add some mods).

(Single-player that is)

Haha, they get mostly equal playing time...although I'm a bit intrigued by the Double Agent story and I'll probably drift towards that soon.

CT had a soft shadowing option that looked very good. Did they not include that in DA?

I think they do but for some reason they're not always rendering correctly. I'll try to find exactly where it doesn't render properly.

If you look at the 1st double agent screen you can see some shadows and they are jagged when they shouldn't be.

I can't stop playing RS : Vegas :p

Though in terms of gameplay is teh suxOrz compared to RV:3, it has a way of making you love it .. :D
GFX are really good, but if you take into consideration that we are talking about Unreal 3 engine they're mediocre from that POV. They could have done some much more.

I'll wait for a decent driver to give me the option to play everything at full, in order to touch SC : DA

If you don't mean the smoke in the street, then you mean the way they implement HDR with some blur effects.. It looks OK in some areas and badly implemented in some others..

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking...but then this is the 1st game based on the Unreal 3 engine right?? So I guess we can cut the developers some slack. It still looks as good if not better than most games out right now. And hey I don't need 8800GTX SLI to get good framerates....although I only play at 1280x1024.

Hehe, it's Mexico City(in that level)...don't they have a cloud of haze over their city like some North American cities? ;)
