I have now a couple of RCA Cambio W101 V2 Windows 10 tablet/keyboard combos. I'm just getting into the touch screen computing thing, am used to keyboard and mouse.

A lot of the time I use these with the keyboard attached but a couple of things have me frustrated:

1. I haven't found a way to get a mouse-down unless I am using the touch screen. Thus, if I want to resize or change something's position that's showing <-->, I can't do it. I keep thinking there must be a way, but I can't find one. Unlike my laptops, there's no left/center/right mouse buttons that I can use when I don't have an actual mouse at hand (that I know of).

2. The only way I know of to get a context menu when using these tablet/keyboard combo devices is using the touch screen -- touch an object for a couple of seconds and I can get the context menu. Using the keyboard, I know of no way.

Am I missing some functionality that's there or is it necessary to use the touch screen aspect of these devices to get those actions?

Many laptop touchpads have "touch" buttons on the bottom portion of the touchpad, where there are normally physical buttons.

If you check your touchpad drivers, often accessible with the synaptics icon in the windows notification tray at the bottom right, you may be able to determine what functions it has, and adjust the size and region of the touch/gesture areas

Thanks, I will check that out. A search a few minutes ago gave me some hits, which I opened in new tabs in my browser. If I don't have the functionality you suggest I think it may be possible to install software that gives it to me. So far, I'm not seeing anything like the functionality that my Thinkpad laptops have. Aside from the physical mouse buttons (of which there are 5!), there are a bunch of trackpad gestures going on. Mostly I don't bother with them because I usually use a USB mouse, but sometimes I don't. Anyway, my problem right now, as I say is with the tablets.

Well, I don't see a Synaptics icon in my tray. But I just tried some things, tapping the trackpad (and double tapping), while holding down various keys. Nothing worked until I held down a curious key that I'd never seen. It's between the right Alt and Ctrl keys and it has nothing but an icon on it. That icon is a white square with three white horizontal lines one above the other. The icon looks similar to what you see in the Iching! Well, holding down the button and tapping brings up the context menu!

However, that button is not giving me a proper mouse-down. I still can't find a way to resize areas of Windows Explorer when I get the <---> resize symbol to appear. In fact, with the keyboard attached I can't find a way to do those resizes even accessing the touch screen. Weird. There has to be a way. :( Occasionally, pulling on a <---> resizes but the great majority of the time it does not. Such nonsense.
