Site is in German...

I got it from HardOCP. Interesting numbers, but according to this review, not compelling enough to make me want to upgrade from a 6800GT. Would've liked some BF2 numbers though since it's a more recent game.

Maybe it's just me - and I know it is just one benchmark - but that card doesn't look like a $500 ticket to me.

Well, this is the first benchmark I've seen and obviously I won't jump to conclusions, but if it's any indication of general performance, then it doesn't seem worth it. Benchmarks with newer games should give us a better indication if the upgrade is worth it.

Last December I went from a FX5200 to a 6800GT...I'm quite used to huge performance increases :p

I can semi-read German, yay for me!

EDIT: There's tons of benchmarks, at the top of the table you'll see drop-down menus with different settings and games and such.

IT seems to get better boosts in farcry (with Transparency AA I'd bet it'd look fantastic), Half-Life 2 shows more improvement as well (over a 6800 Ultra that is at 1600x1200 4xAA8xAF)

Cool, I like those drop-down benchmark options, those crafty germans...
Sure beats clicking back and forth though 20 pages.

Reviews usually don't have dropdowns for quality levels - just for page numbers.

The performance delta between the 7800GT and the Ultra is at least as much as the delta between the Ultra and 6800GT in several of those benchmarks (Halo, HL2). This delta will only increase as newer games come to market. So it is well within spec for a $100 difference. Some simple math can avoid a lot of bitching in this case :)

theres atleast a 15% - 20% difference between the ultra and the 7800GT so $500 is appropriate.

Agreed... It fits right in there. The 7800GT is pretty much where I expected it would be in terms of preformance, and most likely price.

Serioulsy though, the layout and presentation of the benchmarks with the drop downs is fantastic. That has to be one of the most useful things I've seen in while on a benchmark site. The coolest thing is that once you set your res and levels of AA/AF, it keeps those even when you move to the next benchmark. Very cool stuff. I wish AT had something like that.
