Are you talking about the 115/230 switch on the back of your power supply? That's not setting the wattage, that's setting the VOLTAGE. As in what voltage is your local power running at. If you're in the US, that has to be set for 110/115. if you're in a country that uses 220/230, you'd need to switch it to the other setting.

Bottom line is don't screw with that! If you need a bigger power supply, go pick up a 350W Enermax or something like that.

You mean that little red switch on the back? Leave it at 115... it has NOTHING to do with the wattage of your power supply, it's there to tell the PS what level of voltage is coming out of the wall... 115 is normal for the US, 230V is normal for other countries...

Sounds like you may have a motherboard problem though... but a bigger PS couldn't hurt.

I would say your putting a great strain on a 115W power supply with all those components, especially at poweron..

If you want to save electricity, turn your fridge down a notch, or change all your 100W lightbulbs to 60 or 75W .. Or better yet, change them to the long lasting, low power flourescent kind..

The 115W your saving isn't really that significant, and it's not like it's drawing the whole 230W constantly.

I was going to say, I've never heard of a power supply where you could adjust the wattage.. If you are indeed flipping that little 115/220V switch in the back, for god's sake, leave it at 115V if you live in the US!

I'm surprised it would even work while set to 220, If it even does..
