im asking because i seem to have perminently missplaced the stock HS mounting bracket for my mobo and only have the one for the zalman

so will it work or am i up sh!t creek

It should do ok, but temps may be a little high compared to a full copper HSF like the 9500 and other brands. Give it a try.

well id be useing the stock one if not the zalman so im guessing it would be on par with it

should be better than the stock thing. For overclocking, I always compare to a quality full copper HSF.
