as title says woke up this morning..tried to load up itunes to no avail. i have a raptor as my main os and a big ide as storage...well obviously my os drive was working so i pop open my computer and..no F: drive. wasnt doing anything last night besides ripping to the raptor and listening to mp3's off my storage. computer was left on all night so it wasnt like the computer forgot to load it at startup. did a restart (which is a pita if ur like me and have 5+ programs always running) and still no drive. Well i had to go to work so i couldnt check any further.
not really looking for advice just yet cause i havent had a chance to exhaust the ideas i have but feel free to leave some nonetheless...just curious if its ever happened to you guys.

Cliffnotes:

1.woke up to no storage drive
2. tried a couple things to no avail
3. nothing was happening prior to cause this

maybe you should try the freeze trick (i.e stick your HDD in the freezer), do a little search for it here, you'll find all the details.

I used to have that happen occasionally. The darn cheap drive power connectors they use become weak and loosen and a drive stops working. SVC has some nice gold plated molex-style female contacts and easy release shells - time for a useful mod, eh?

.bh.

This happened on my old PC, the molex plug that went to my second HD just was too loose to run it. was using a UV reactive splitter to run both HDs to try to make it look nicer. I checked and both of the splitters had plugs what weren't crimped right, so I just redid them and soldered them on top of the crimp to prevent any more nonsense.

i was gonna update this but it got buried yesterday so i figured it would stay that way..well here goes

got home...reseated all connections and noticed for a second one fan light wasnt coming on...couldve been loose connection
went into bios...damn bios AGAIN mixed up priority for my hd's so it tried loading os from my storage drive...

either way...changed order..booted up and everythings fine...which solved it?> dunno
