Re: HTPC in sig below.

I flashed my Gigabyte B75 board this morning using the @BIOS utility (F11 to F15) and now I can't get it to start Windows 7 successfully. Half the time it BSOD's at boot, sometimes it throws up the blue Windows welcome screen and crashes.

I went into the BIOS settings and it shows F15 and otherwise seems normal. I reset the BIOS to default (using the BIOS command, not shorting the pins/pulling the battery) and still no joy.

I did the very same thing on DESK3 in sig last night... and it went easy peasy. The HTPC has an OCZ Agility3 as it's boot drive... I'm concerned the BIOS flash through Windows borked the OS somehow, but before I screw the pooch any more than I have already... is there anything I need to check before recovering my OS drive?

In bios check "SATA Mode Selection". It should be AHCI unless your drive was initially setup as IDE..

That was it...

I checked the box to retain current BIOS settings, but obviously I wiped them when I reset it manually. Duh.
