PC specs before:

msi h87m-g43
i5 4570 3.2 ghz
2 4gb ram 1600 mhz
ocz fatal1ty 550w
r7 265

PC specs now

gigabyte ep43-ud3l
Q8300 2.5 ghz
2 2gb ram 800 mhz
evga 600b (this new replacement dindu nuffin, a waste of money)
r7 265

My pc used to shut down randomly , cpu temps were 40 to 46c when browsing and 74c max when playing games, when it shut down it turned itself on and off in a loop until I cut the power.

I used the pc with one stick of ram one by one, changed my GPU, formatted and changed my hdd to not avail, then I changed almost my entire system as I specified above and problem solved.

Now I want to know for sure what is the culprit and replace it.

Cheers

I would suspect the motherboard since it stayed int a loop after the shutdown. Did you try updating the motherboard BIOS/Firmware to see if it was a software issue?

I remember updating it several times but I dont know if the latest version I used was 1.8 or 1.9....., even then I should ve had this issue like days or weeks after the update not a year later, well lets give it a check.

Yes it is, anyway I tried to update the bios but in the process my computer restarted itself and bricked the mobo, bought another mobo, problem solved.
