[SOLVED] New velociraptor hard drive seems very, very slow

I only know it's way slower than the 74gig raptor I pulled out. Didn't bench it or anything. I have the same case and I could clearly hear the head stopping, then starting back up (wasn't even quiet about it) every so often so I guess mine is worse than yours...
