I did (not a whole lot, but a little), but see it more like win7+. If I had to pay full price I would never do the upgrade.

But I'm pretty sure my laptop has gotten better battery life.


My Samsung laptop has for sure,came with Win7 preinstalled but I had the special low price offer that you can get for Win8 upgrade with new laptops.

Battery life improved quite a bit and and speed a little ,even notice speed improvements on my other two PCS that upgraded from 7.

I have been assimilated. I have dual boot 7 and 8 on my main gaming rig. When I'm in Windows 7 I find myself hovering to the right to bring the Charms menu up. I am using Classic Shell so going to the normal left hand corner doesn't work.
I have gotten used to reaching down and powering my PC off with the power button on the tower itself. How cool is that, no more mouse clicks :)
