I'm using Logitech Z680 speakers in conjunction with nForce's SoundStorm on Shuttle FN41. Problem is, I'm getting a muffled center channel, or no center channel at all, when I do a sound test in the software trying various combinations. The Z680 hardware test works fine, so I know the unit is working.

I have it set to 6 speakers in the nForce tray options, with analog input. The Logitech control center is set to Direct 6 channel input. Is there something I'm forgetting?

I have the same problem with my Z-640s and A7N8X Deluxe. Most stuff I listen to is 4 channel, so I don't really mind.

Well I'm trying to watch DVDs, so I do mind. :D

I suspect the problem will go away when I switch to optical out, but in the meantime I'd like to get analog working too so I can have two systems hooked up to it.

Plus mine are analog only. It should work either way.

No, I haven't tried the digital out because I haven't yet bought a cable. But since I intend to have two systems hooked up to these speakers, one analog and one digital, I'll need to solve the analog issue somehow.

For anyone else having this problem, the solution was the NVSWAP utility. Apparently, the nForce's Sound Storm often gets the center and bass reversed, and that's what was happening to me. Everything works like a dream now.
