SOLVED: HL2 Video Problem

I'm having a weird problem thats preventing me from playing 🙁

I tried looking on the steam support, but found nothing.

Radeon 9600 Pro, latest ATI drivers...

Any ideas....

uninstall steam and delete everything :Q

Try changing the settings in your vid card properties, mainly AF and AA set them to App Pref. T2 did this to me. G/L

Well re-downloading fixed my problem. What its looking like is that steam will let you install the game even if you dont have the whole thing downloaded.

What you should do is right click on HL2 from your games list, and goto properties. If it says something like "needs update" then you dont have the game finished downloading. I had this even when I had the game installed and loading (but unable to play).

I was never able to get the game to Update, so i used the delete local content and redownloaded the whole thing. Everything works now and its great.

Everyone should be patient, as i'm sure today LOTS of questions will be answered.
