I have a AZIO AWU101N wireless usb adapter. I installed the driver software and when checked on the devices, it shows working properly.

But the wireless managing software says the adapter is disconnected. I thought that it was DOA so got a replacement and that too is the same.

is there anything that needs to be enabled in windows 7 for it to work?

I use windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

Kaspersky was blocking the usb adapter from working, as soon as I cleared that it started working.

Yeah, there is a major problem with Kaspersky/Norton/McAffe security suits that are installed on Win7.

In many cases people have to uninstall and clean them out since they block the TCP/IP traffic.

They are so "eager" to protect that they protect the computer from its legit owner. :hmm:
