I pulled the triggar on this card from Amazon "Prime" for $40.
Free 2 day shipping, so that I will have it BY Friday to finish my build on the weekend.

If I ever need more, I will do that research then. Probably find a good used card at that time.

R7 240 or the oldschool Nvidia 9800GT (low power edition).

Why would you want to use a 2009 DX10 graphics card without a modern video decoder (VP2, lacks VC1 decoding) in a non-gaming system? I'm kind of curious... :)

As for "low power", it has a 75W TDP. Today you can get a 750(TI) with a 60W TDP that will absolutely mop the floor with that 9800GT...

These were all the questions thtt I was trying to get answered in just a couple of days, and decided that, for now, it was best to go with a less expeinsive general purpose card, and then do a more in depth research project to see what would be the best value in a better card when I have the time to look around, and possibly even find a really good deal on a used card.
