SOLVED - Crysis Warhead sound crackles/cuts out

SOLVED: Reinstallation ended up being the only solution

Seems like lots of posts on the internet about similar problems but no answer to fix it.

Sound cuts out/crackles/only certain sounds play during the level Adapt or Perish when hit with the nano-coruptor granades or when the general is shocking you with the tazer. Also there seems to be a scene missing when it says "4 years earlier". Playee through the level and the lack of sound continued 🙁

Anyone know how to fix this? Would a re-install fix it? Is there another way to fix it?

Vista 32 bit, 4850, catalyst 9.6, 4Gb ram

are you using a sound card. if so, then what type?

nope no soundcard, just the one that is integrated on P5Q Deluxe

that happened to me with my old XFI fatality championship edition card. sorry i cant help with the onboard cards brotha.

Thanks, I will just try a reinstall then and see if that works
